This Wiki article explains how to create and manage configuration profiles in the Antivirus Pro Portal.

Overview of the Configuration Profiles

All existing configuration profiles are displayed in this menu. Here, configuration profiles can be edited, created or deleted. Any number of configuration profiles can be created. This allows different areas, locations or departments to be mapped and differentiated.	Overview of the Configuration Profiles

Bulk edit

With bulk editing, several configuration profiles can be edited at the same time. The desired configuration profiles can be marked using the check box and then selected together by clicking on Bulk edit (n).	Bulk edit

In the configuration, the desired options must first be activated for bulk editing by clicking on The function, such as auto-synchronisation here, can then be activated for all configuration profiles.

Owner	Firm	A company, which is supposed to have access to the profile can be selected as the owner. The assignment of the owner to a company determines who can use this configuration profile. When a configuration profile is created for a reseller (at the top of the group hierarchy), only that reseller has access to that profile. If a profile is created for a customer, this customer and the reseller can access the profile and define recipients for notifications. notempty Configuration profiles that should not be visible to the end customer must be assigned to the reseller company.

MSI configuration

The following parameters can be set for the MSI configuration:

Removal of the option to disable system protection in the configuration file

The system protection is a central component of Securepoint Antivirus Pro. It can no longer be deactivated in the MSI by default. However, it can still be deactivated under the Client Configuration tab.

Das Profil enthält eine veraltete Exklusionsvorlage. Aktualisieren	Eine verwendete Exklusionsvorlage wurde zwischenzeitlich im dazugehörigen Menü geändert. Um die Änderungen aus der Vorlage in das Profil zu übernehmen, muss die Schaltfläche Aktualisieren geklickt werden

Proxyserver-Login		The user name and password are only specified when the configuration is transferred. No passwords are stored in the Securepoint AV portal itself.

Set password		The password is only entered when the configuration is transferred. No passwords are stored in the Securepoint AV Portal itself. We recommend that the passwords are stored in a password storage, since without a password, access is not possible.

Join reseller preview		To test the latest program features in advance. Only possible with licenses for verified resellers.
Fast Diff		Updates the virus patterns in real time. Fast Diff is now enabled for all and new profiles have it as a default setting. Existing profiles have to activate it manually.

Scan profiles

With the scan profiles, it is possible to trigger various scan processes on the clients subsequently via the portal. The following profiles are available:	Tab Scan profiles
Quick system check Checks the Windows installation directory. Most computer malware on a Windows system is located in this directory.
System partition Checks the drive or partition on which the operating system is located. This checks all archives, directories, folders, and files on the system partition.
Entire computer Scans all connected drives including USB drives
Removable disk Scans only removable media (e.g. CDs, tape drives, zip drives)
The + Create Scan Profile button can be used to create individual scan profiles that only check specific paths. A dialog opens with the following configuration settings:

Shutdown computer after scheduled scan	No Yes	If enabled, the computer will shut down after the scan.
Make up scan	No Yes	When enabled, the scan is automatically rescheduled if the computer was turned off at the scheduled time.
Paths	c:\Users	Path to be scanned. This includes all subfolders.

For server installations, it is recommended to scan the directories that make network drives available at least once a day.

Notification settings

Notifications are only sent for devices that are linked to this configuration profile via their group membership.

A notification is only sent for local files.
If viruses are found on network drives, access is blocked by the AV on the client.
A notification must be sent by the AV on the server that makes the network drive available.
