A list of the compatibility of various providers with Mail Security.
Whether incoming and outgoing routes can be configured, whether S/MIME is possible, and their special features and limitations.

Own mail server A fixed external IP (IPv4 or IPv6) is required
Strato
  • Outgoing traffic and S/MIME cannot be set up directly via Strato
  • The only option is an outgoing route via SMTP Auth and the use of Mail Security in the email client as the outgoing mail server
IONOS
  • For the destination server of the incoming route, mx00.customerserver.de or mx01.customerserver.de must be used
  • Outgoing traffic and S/MIME cannot be set up directly via IONOS
  • The only option is an outgoing route via SMTP Auth and the use of Mail Security in the email client as the outgoing mail server
ALL INKL Since ALL INKL only accepts incoming emails if there is an MX entry for your own domain on All INKL, this does not provide comprehensive protection.
