Bare Metal Restore (BMR)

Create Restore Iso Image

To perform a bare metal restore, a restore iso (.iso file) is required.
The Restore Iso is based on Windows PE and additionally contains a recovery software that restores the safe set bootable. This process is started automatically as soon as the system boots into the iso.
This iso must be created by the user, but can then be used for BMR backups for all systems.

  • Download Bootable Media Creator from the Backup Portal download area, Tools section
  • Installing and launching the Bootable Media Creator
  • Download and install Windows ADK
  • Select target directory for .iso file
  • Create Bootable Media Image
