Introduction

The PST import tool can be used to import e-mails from a Microsoft Outlook account or e-mails from a Microsoft Outlook PST file into the UMA.

The PST tool requires HTTPS!

Enable PST import

Before the tool can be used, make sure that in the UMA at Import Tab PST under PST Import the item Enable PST Import   is enabled.

Download and Installation

Download

In the bottom section is the link to download the PST import tool

There are two ways to download the PST import tool.
On the one hand in the download area of the reseller portal and on the other hand in the UMA administration interface under Import Tab PST . There under PST Import at Download: the PST import tool is downloaded.

Installation

The language selection window when installing the PST import tool

The .exe installation file is started. A window with the language selection of the PST import tool opens. The desired language is selected. The further installation steps are continued as described in the dialog windows.

Step 1

• The setup wizard opens. Click on Next

Step 2

• Accept the licence conditions by confirming the check box. Click on Next

Step 3

• Select the installation location. Click on Next

Step 4

• Click on Install to install the PST import tool

Step 5

• Click on Done to close the setup wizard

Import emails

PST Import Tool configuration

The tool is started with Securepoint UMA PST-Import. After the welcome window Introduction, a click on the Next button opens the connection settings to the UMA.

Username:	alice@anyideas.de	The username of the account to which the emails are to be delivered

If this option   is enabled, it is possible to log in to the PST import tool as an administrator. The administrator has the ability to assign emails to a user. Only when activated, the following items will be displayed.
Admin-Password:		The password to the administrator account of the UMA
Import user:	alice@anyideas.de	The username of the account to which the emails should be delivered. Same entry as for the username item.
Click on the Next button.
A window appears with a security warning due to the self-created certificate. When the View certificate button is clicked, a window with the certificate opens. With Next the certificate is accepted and the next configuration step appears.
The next step is to choose from where to import the emails.
Email account:	alice@anyideas.de	Selecting Import emails from your default Outlook profile will select the user's mailbox. Only emails that are stored offline and are locally accessible are imported.
File:		Selecting Import email from a PST file will import the emails from a PST file. The Browse button is used to select a PST file.
Click on the Next button.

An overview of the user's mailboxes, or in the PST file appears. The mailboxes to be imported are selected.Click on the Next button.

Before the actual import process, an overview of the set configuration is displayed again.
If Change maximum import email size is enabled, the MB size of the emails to be imported can be limited.Click the Apply button to start the import process.

The import process may take some time.
When this process is finished, an information about the number of archived emails appears.Click the Complete button to close the PST import tool.
