This article refers to a Resellerpreview
- - The backups are grouped together in so-called safe sets
- Each schedule creates a safe set from which data can be restored
- The storage type defines how many safe sets are stored for how many days
- In principle, 44 safesets are available per job.
Both the storage types and the prioritization in the schedule are crucial.
Our recommendation:
# | Type | Online storage | Online copies | Schedule | Description | Selected number | Number of safe sets |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1. | 12_months | 365 Days | 11 | Days of the month | 1x | Retention 1 year, usually 12 copies (but deletion also after 1 year if a monthly copy could not be made due to being offline). | 12 |
2. | 30_days | 30 Days | 30 | Days of the week | 7x | Same time as backup above! If the monthly backup and the daily backup are scheduled at the same time in the specified order, this will result in the daily backup not occurring once a month because the monthly backup is being performed at that moment. 1x a month 12_month is executed instead |
