Increased system requirements

With version 12.3, we have adjusted the system requirements for UTM systems. This means that devices with less than 3GB of RAM will no longer be able to fully provide all functions with 12.3.

Hardware concerned

Some second-generation systems are affected.
These systems were no longer sold (EOS) in 2016/2017. Systems from generation 3 are fully operational.
A overview of the systems can be found in the system requirements.

Virtual machines

When using virtual machines (VMs), we recommend checking and adjusting the allocation of resources if necessary.
(See section Dimensioning for virtual systems in the system requirements).

Note on affected systems

Affected systems will alert you to this with the update to 12.3 and relevant systems in the Unified Security Console (USC) will be marked with a warning.
