Configuration management for a Securepoint UTM

Last adaptation to the version: 14.1.1(11.2025)

New:
notempty
This article refers to a Beta version

Preliminary remark

The settings of the UTM appliance are saved in a configuration file.
The configuration files are organised in the menu Configuration  Area Local Configuration.

  • The users and - in a separate database - the Captive Portal users are also saved in the configuration.
  • Automatic backups of the configuration should be carried out with regular cloud backups.
More on this in the Wiki article Cloud Backups
    • If the installation wizard was run when the UTM was started for the first time, it automatically created a configuration file. The file has the title configuration-wizard-Date-Time .
The configuration can also be restarted or reset in the Installation wizard and Factory settings areas.
  • notempty
    New as of v14.1.0:
A maximum of 20 configurations can be created.
If the maximum number of 20 configurations has been reached (or has already been exceeded), it is necessary to delete existing ones to add more configurations.
