Enrollment of iOS devices from users who do not have access to the Securepoint Mobile Security Portal

Introduction

As an administrator in the Securepoint Mobile Security Portal, it is possible to enroll iOS devices of users who do not have access to the portal.
Prerequisite: A user tile must be available for these users under list-general  Users


Enrollment

To add an iOS device from a user without portal access to the portal, click on the  Mobile Security iOS/iPadOSdevices button send.
In the dialog box that opens, there are two different enrolment modes for Enrolment type:

  • iOS device enrollment: the iOS device is enrolled in unsupervised mode

    Some features are not available in this operating mode without Apple Business Manager (ABM)


  • iOS user login: the iOS device is enrolled in supervised mode

iOS Device registration

In this operating mode without Apple Business Manager (ABM), the following features are not available:
  • no automatic enrollment after a factory reset
  • No interaction-free installation and updates of apps without Apple ID
  • No re-enrollment
  • No permanent removal of the device from the MDM
