Information on the end of the UMA

Due to strategic realignments, we have decided to discontinue our Securepoint Unified Mail Archive (UMA) solution on 30 June 2027.
This decision enables us to focus more strongly on the further development and improvement of our core products in the area of unified security, in particular UTM solutions.

What does that mean?
From 30 June 2027, Securepoint will

  • no updates
  • no security patches and
  • no technical support
more for the UMA.

Users of the UMA will be able to continue to use the full support and all functionalities as usual until the end date. After that, support will be discontinued and there will be no further updates or maintenance work.

Alternatives and contact:
To continue to benefit from a secure and reliable email archiving solution after 30 June 2027, we recommend migrating to one of the following options from our strategic partner Reddoxx:

  • REDDOXX Cloud Solution
  • REDDOXX on premise solution
A user-friendly migration tool will be available for both migration paths, enabling a simple and smooth transition.
We have compiled the FAQ below for further information.
For advice and support with the migration, please contact our sales department or Reddoxx directly.

Licence questions

Licence questions
  • Is use possible until the licence expires

Can I still use the UMA until the licence expires or do I have to switch before then?
  • Answer

    • The UMA can be used until June 2027.
    • If you have any further questions, please get in touch with your sales contact.
  • When is the final EOL of the UMA

When is the final EOL of the UMA?
  • Answer

    • We will continue to support the UMA until 30/06/2027.
    • Until then, security updates will be provided and assistance will be offered by our support team.
  • Access after licence expiry

Can I still access my already archived mails in UMA after the licence has expired?
  • Answer

Without a valid licence, access to the archived data and export is no longer fully guaranteed.
A corresponding export should therefore be carried out before the licence expires.
    After the licence expires
    • access to the ‘’‘Admin’‘’ interface is no longer possible
    • no new time stamps can be set (deactivation of the LTA/LZA)
    • there is no technical support
    • there are no updates
    • there is no archiving of new mails

As long as a user login to the user interface is still valid and known, access to the respective archive data is possible. However, if the login to the user repository becomes generally invalid over time or a user login is no longer known, access to the archive is no longer possible.

The UMA cannot be operated without a licence and is also not a "silent" backup solution. Therefore, care should be taken to export the data from the system before the licence expires.

  • Will there be an emergency licence

  • Answer

No, it is no longer possible to issue licences at the EOL date
