General

The log menu provides detailed information about operations on the UTM.
The Log menu opens a separate browser window on which the log messages are displayed.
By default, the packet filter messages are displayed here.

Log display settings
Clicking the button opens the settings drop-down menu.
Highlight text:	On	Sorts and colors the text to make the entries appear visually clearer	Log menu: Settings Show example of search with highlighting Example of search with highlighting
Hide rarely searched data:	off	If activated, additional information is displayed with the packet filter messages

Filter messages
The log messages are displayed filtered by pre-set categories. The displayed category can be changed in the drop-down menu to the right side of the settings.
Only display application and kernel messages	Shows messages of the services (e.g. virus scanner) and the kernel		Filter settings for alerting center messages
Only display audit messages	Shows e.g. changes to the configuration via the admin interface or CLI
Only display authentication messages	Displays all authentication messages (user interface, SSH, VPN etc.)
Only display paket filter messages	Shows blocked and accepted packets according to port filter settings
Only display cloud messages	Displays all messages about cloud services of the UTM
Only display alerting center messages	Alerting center messages can be extensively filtered by service, notification type, time period and individual criteria
	Filters the displayed entries to specified values
Download
With a click on the Download button the messages can be downloaded. In order to start the download, the following dialog box must be confirmed.			Download messages
Yes	Downloads the last 10,000 messages
No	Closes the confirmation window
More functions
Refresh: 1	Update timer: Displays the seconds until the next update of the messages
	Updates the messages and resets the update timer
	Scrolls messages to the very top
	Scrolls messages to the very bottom
