Introduction

An external proxy can be specified in the proxy settings. Such a parent proxy is also called a Parent Proxy.

Configure Proxy

In this section the system-wide proxy settings are set up. In addition to calling web pages, the setting affects the following UTM functions:

• Online update of the UTM system software.
• Update of the virus scanners.
• Update of the SSL VPN client.
• Backup and restore of the Securepoint Cloudbackup.
  

The setting must be configured if the UTM does not have direct Internet access and the updates are to be loaded via an external proxy.
